This may seem like a stupid question, or even a wind up, but has anyone on here, when they leave a yard, been told they have to take their share of the muck heap with them?

Well, me and my friend were, still have the email that states it! We were speechless to be honest. It said about mucking out stable and clearing field etc, which was all fair enough, and then it mentioned muck heap.

Im afraid if you leased the yard you are responsible for moving the muckheap or what you have contributed to it.
Lease papers should say so.
We certainly have to clear ours at regular intervals and finally before we move .

If you rented the yard then I think it was your responsibility to have it removed, but not if you were liveries there. It cost me nearly £500 to have the muckheap taken off the yard I took over.

Did you rent it as part of a livery or on your own?

How many months of muckheap is there? On my Yard, muckheap removal is responsibility of YO, who just advertises it on freeserve - people come and help themselves and she keeps the thing tidy and manageable.

How are you supposed to measure out your part of the pooh - ridiculous?
