I was just wondering what do you lot wear for a day at the yard (on your feet), and why do you wear them? Stupid thread but ahh well...

I wear mucker boots with chaps, I used to wear tall riding boots but they really aggravated me when riding and they where useless in the yard?!

I'm in wellies at the moment. The puddles and mud to/from the field are calf deep here.

In summer it will probably be trainers... *runs away before a telling off!*

Joddy boots all the time and my chaps, wellies always leak no matter what brand or price I seem to pay and there cold, muckboots (don't like riding in those, I like to have something on my feet that is both comfortable, water proof and what I can ride in, rather than changing foot ware every other hour and what I can wash down quicky before I ride if not using my riding boots.

You cant beat a good pair of joddy boots, they serve me well.

Wellies if only turning out and mucking out during the mushy weather. My ariat coniston (long boots) if turning out, mucking out and riding during mushy weather.
During the summer or when the ground is dry I wear short boots and chaps when turning out, mucking out and riding. Or just trainers if I'm only turning out and mucking out.

I live in my Mountain Horse Rimfrost riders - in the winter they are never off my feet! I wear them to ride in too. In the summer, I tend to wear crocs round the yard, and then my leather long boots to ride in...

Muck Boots for around the yard i wear them all day everyday virtually there nearly 3yo & still going strong, but i change in to my leather boots for riding.

Muckboots to muck out in and venture into the mudbath, hitherto known as the paddock....

Change into Ariat Grasmeres to ride in, I know I can go in mud with them but I would rather use the muckboots for that purpose as I ADORE my ariats !! and I'll be wearing them in the summer

fur lined wellies in the winter mwah ha!!! and anything in the summer. iv got normal spotted wellies with wholes in so i spect il wear them in the summer if its dry. but i wear boots and chaps for riding

Snow boots!!! No really. I have terrible circulation and they have a welly-style bottom (so with grips, unlike muckers) and padded, insulated ankle to shin. Lined with Sheep's wool and I have sheep's wool insoles, too. Ahhhh, bliss!

Summer wear can be anything from Jodphur boots & chaps to most un-health and safety style footwear!!

When it's really cold then I live in my Mountain Horse Rimfrost boots too! Rest of time Ariat Cobalt boots (soo comfy!) and chaps, change into wellies for mucking out and turning out. Keep my lovely long leather boots for competing only!
