Mud fever after care

Just got rid of mud fever from my horse but now there is bare skin where the scabs were (some are quite large). Can anyone suggest a good cream/lotion that will act as a barrier but also help heal and soothe the skin?
I have looked at these two products if anyone has any feedback on them?

I would rather use a gel or oil than a cream, the cream can build up and become thick possibly causing further issues, keeping the area as clean and dry as possible now with as little washing as you can get away with will allow it to finish healing and new hair to grow back, you have done well to get to this stage, with the ground getting worse good luck with keeping it at bay.

My TB had a horrible allergic reaction to the Barrier Heel to Hoof. I haven't tried the ones that you listed OP.

To help heal the skin then Flammazine is good. For field protection I recommend Keratex mud shield powder or the Muddy Buddy equivalent, brilliant stuff.

Good old medicated udder cream (pink one ) slathe legs in it ....looks delightful but works and is not expensive
