jus chucking this out there for people who are bamboozeled wat to do about mud fever as i am.....i decided not to wash my 16.3 tb mares back legs an take scabs off... instead i got the lincoln 'muddy feet' and sudocrem an kept layering it on her legs whilst leaving her in her stable an its now been easy to lift the scabs cos the cream had soaked in them ive done this for 5 days an today i was able to ease the loosened scabs an she is heaps better....gone from swollen an warm fetlocks, picking them up was painful to nice lovely smooth fetlocks (still a little fever there)i was so happy to finally see a break throu....so now its soaking in pig oil an sulphur an latex socks whiles shes out.....hope this helps anyone who was as confused as i was with wat to do .....
