Ill keep it short - My horse has mud fever and it is being controlled by cream which is applied twice daily - However i work until 6pm so therefore the only place i can ride is an indoor school where the surface is sand/small amount of wax - therefore it will stick to the cream!

(even if i dont apply the cream before i ride it will still stick to the previous application therefore i would be rubbing sand into mud fever which is already very sore)

Not riding would be an option short term but not in the long run and as you know mud fever isnt a quick fix! Are there any ideas? - Not very good at thinking 'outside of the box'

Hope everyones enjoying the Friday feeling!

If you add sulphur to the cream then that is quite a quick fix. My horse had it recently and literally overnight the scabs fell off and it was pretty fine.

bandage to ride with some duct tape around the bottom to prevent sand working inside bandage, maybe?? thats all I can come up with.

I bandage anyway but its all on her heels aswel and cant really bandage round there :P Was thinking maybe cling film but i dont know if it will stay there
