Mud Fever Supplements? do they work?

We moved this summer, and now that the nags heals are getting a little damp on mud they're not used to they all seem to be getting a little mud fever. Nothing serious, but i was wondering if anybody had used any of these mud fever supplements, mud-block/mud-stop type things (one of the one's you feed rather than apply).

Do they work? If so which ones and where can i get em cheap?

Not in my experience
Prevention is best to be done around keeping the legs dry and mud free if possible

I'm sure others will have lots of weird and wonderful supplement solutions
