One of my horses has a tiny tiny bit of mud fever (I mean barely noticeable!) which he gets every year about this time. Ive been using the free sample of MABS Mude Fever liquid which I got last year (http://www.mudfever.net). Am wondering if I should get a bottle of this (sample is running out so quick that I doubt Ill have time to see if it works!)? Anybody like it? I dont want to spend a fortune on stuff since his MF is only very very mild.

It didn't really work well enough on mine but then nothing oily or creamy did.
I have had success this year with sportabac turnout boots and keretex powder but this is a bind as you have to wash the boots everynight and dry them. The plus side is his legs are spotless and his nasty mudfever has cleared .

i just wash them off if mud is wet, dry them then apply udder cream if going back out, or leg wraps if staying in at night

if the mud is dry brush and pick off the mud (baby oil is supposed to be good) then apply udder cream if going back out

I wash with hibiscrub and dry (has to be dried well) then apply sudocream. Yes nappy rash cream!!! it really does work and its as cheap as fried potatos
