My Shetland has mud fever. No scabs just red hairless skin that is sore. He is out 24/7. Do I need to bring him in really for it to completely heal??

Depends what your field is like. I've cleared mud rash up in the field several times but have needed to treat it and use barrier creams. Have never had to do it in a really muddy field though.

I have put him in a drier field now, just hoping I can clear it without stabling him. He hates it.
