This is the first year that my horses have been on our 4 acres, the field is on a slope and unfortunitly on a natural spring, so when the water table rises in the winter it just pools

My little coblet had an injury from the mud, we think it was a mud pull, anyways she is on box rest for the next few days from a very kind friend who has lent me a stable. The TB and the welshies are out 24/7, tb has a HW with neck on and a vest. Just moved them today onto a dryer section its much bigger now and not as muddy. Worried about mud rash with the tb, brush her legs when there dry and so far no sign. Its gotton that way now that theres no dry bits to brush her on, no concrete all field and mud!!! thers a bit of grass about but they have ad lib hay, - looking forward to next year, having 2 stables and a field shelter erected, no more ponios out in the mud next year!
We are forecasted more rain

Mine are out 24/7, and I too have a slightly sloped field. The first winter that I was there, I tried just giving them the run of the field. Now I've learned that it works better to break it up into paddocks and rotate

mine is out 24/7 although not a TB she is a finer type. She seems ok at the minute but the fields are getting churned up something awful and there is zero grass. I'm sure she prefers being out most of the time but the past few weeks with all this rain i've been beginning to wish I could bring her in at night.
She has a M/W rug with neck on.
We're giving them haylage out in the field too
