Hi, it's that time of year again... can no longer put it off... time to put Haylage out. We have a round feeder, and naturally it gets really deep in mud around it. I have read somewhere about straw matting to help, any one have any ideas or advice for this? I have one horse who suffers from mud fever, and as they live out 24/7 would be grateful of any tips. The field shelter is also getting poached, so any advice there good too.

Thanks :)

RE the mud fever, use Muddy Marvel barrier cream. :D Fab stuff.

For the poached areas, can you put down some hardcore?

I've been meaning to research fieldmats, but I haven't got around to it yet. Does anyone have them? Are they any good?
