My mare get extremely muddy legs.. and it all wet iky mud!
how do you keep you horses legs "mud free" well not completely but you know, one horse at the yard has mud fever and i don't want my pony getting it either.

Stable it and only ever ride in the indoor

Failing that try a couple of pairs of hunters, quite a few members horses are modelling them in their signatures.
 
Our fields are disgusting at the moment! Its awlful isn't it! I always worry about mud fever since my friends horse got it so bad a couple of years a go. I was recommended graphites which she said since her horse has been on them, there has been no signs of fever. I buy them in tablet form from my local feed shop ad the cost around five pounds for a months supply. I slit a carrot and pop it inside. You can also buy a mud fever tablet from the same compay but it doesn't have the same concentrate of graphite in it so I'd go with the pure graphites. I think the company is called equushealth. They do have a website so you can check out where they supply.

The other day i was down the yard for so long i rode in morn stabled her wiht some in-hand grazing around the yard, and by the time it came to the afternoon ride her legs were dry so i was able to get some of the mud off as it a dried! Thank you for the suggestion, worth a look:)
