Hi,

Have heard that Muirmill is up for sale but cannot find any details on it anywhere. I am looking for a yard preferably to lease, but would like some information on Muirmill. All numbers to it are unobtainable, so if anyone can help would be grateful.

I thought it had changed hands recently??

If its the one I'm thinking of (I live quite close) I'd probably stay well clear of the place. It seems to change hands on a regular basis and I think the reputation has been so badly damaged over the past two years it might take a lot of extra work and effort just to get people to have the confidence you're not going to up sticks and leave.

But in saying that, there are a lot of horses in the area and there seems to be scope for another livery yard so if you feel you could over come the issues its had in the past it could make a nice yard for sure.

There is also a cottage on the ground which seems to be for sale on a regular basis too so maybe there's an option on it and hire the facilities if you don't want the whole place.
 
Although Minxie said she was thinking of the wrong place, her description is very acurate ! It keeps changing owners. Apparently it used to be a really good place but it's just went downhill. Last I heard (I could be wrong) liveries and there used to be Thursday Night jumping and jumping at xmas etc.. but I don't know if they're still running.
 
I'd be interested to hear if anyone has any concrete info about Muirmill regarding how it's being run just now. We are interested in purchasing it but are keen to get some proper grass roots info and opinion first.
