Have seen that muirmill is up for sale, however, it seems to have been for sale for a while now. Does anyone have any info/opinions on it?

i didn't know it was up for sale but i do know that the likes of sheila thom have regular clinics in it. however several people have tried to make a go of it and fail with the likes of ingliston equestrain and rowallen about

It's been for sale umpteen times over the last 15 years or so and has never really taken off since John Brown left. What tikino said is true that it will never be a popular competition centre with Rowallan and Ingliston's amazing facilities close by.

Totally agree with the others. Think its reputation is pretty tarnished and it would be a hard task to turn that around. Ingliston is brilliant and would be hard pushed to compete.

Gosh yes I remember it in John and Alec Brown's day. Sold a horse to them back in the mid 80s. Anyone kniow what John is up to these days? He was a very, very talented (and underrated imo) rider in his day!

I heard he had moved to the states but not sure how reliable the rumour is.

I think I heard that too now you say it. He was still jumping in Scotland in the 1990s so don't know when exactly he went.
