Last event of the season for us as Moreton Morrell Balloted us and BCA now cancelled.
So took Snoopy along to do an Intro, as its been 2 months since he last competed.
Arrived just after 9:30 and polished him off, tacked up and went over to the dressage 20 minutes till our time. He worked in nicely a little bold in his canter but all nice.
His test went well bar getting a fly in the ear and shook his head and tried to pee off! anyway after containing himself to the end his test wasnt too bad.
Scored 36.8

Show jumping was small but flowing, I havent show jumped him for a month. Popped over a couple of practise fences and went in. He went round lovely jumping a nice clear.

XC was again small but twisty and an ideal course for a nap!

Popped him over the practise fence twice and away we went.
Napped all the way to the first, locked on and flew then, all fine to fence 4 then decided to put in the biggest two rears! between the fences then was all fine.
Cantered home nicely.
Got 9 time because of his idiot boy attitude!

but cant be too upset seeing as he hasnt seen a xc fence for 2 months.

All very pleased to jump DC on our final event of the season.

Thanks goes out to FinnMcCoul for getting up at stupid O clock to groom for me today

was lots of fun.

Well done V - sounds like a positive end to the season. I am sure during the winter he will grow up and be ready to fire on all cylinders next year.

Well done, sounds like a good day for you - i reckon it must be a 'nappy spot' by fence four - saw a horse rearing up there last year for no apparent reason.

Didnt realise you were at munstead, but havent been on here for a while. I was there today with Kiri doing the intro section C - we were 115?

With all the cancellations etc, dont feel like we've really got into it this year, and was finding it difficult to get her round the course without constant kicking, hence why dropped back to intro for a while. She was better today and seemed to enjoy herself and i actually finished without feeling as though i was going to drop down dead!!

wish i had seen you and snoopy!

Fantastic I'm chuffed for you. What a way to finish the season with a DC and an excellent dressage. A really good foundation for next year.

Thank you

Was just what we needed I think.
He was very chilled out but was really up for it! think hes actually missed strutting his stuff.
Now to get this sodding mud fever sorted, he can then go and do some stressage!

Hon, you would be very pleased with the dressage judge quote!

Thank you, jumping on thursday really helped. He was very bold but chilled, not so gobby.

I actually felt prepared today, and was really up for it.
Im just very lucky his lordship is so bold. Its just his naughty baby behaviour at times.
Like you say, it will come. Just could have done with a few more runs now.
Hey ho, will go autumn hunting as soon as they start again

Well done to you at Gatcombe today
