Hi
I’ve got a 12 year old and i am looking to feed him something to help him build muscle although I don’t want him gaining weight. He is in daily work and has an exercise plan. Is there such a supplement or feed out there that does such a thing?

As Leo walker says, feed won't build muscle but exercise will. Muscles build by a small tearing of the fibres during repair and then require protein as part of the repair process as I understand it. I believe that you don't need much protein for the repair process, but I may have that wrong!

Sadly no, but I do feed spirulina as a supplement for muscle tone due to high protein content alongside a fitness plan and a varied work load, including of hacking on hills, polework, ground work and of course time! I've seen a noticeable difference in 4 months, but the supplement is only going to possibly help support the work you put in.

That is a shockingly expensive way to feed some amino acids and a lot of stuff thats not relevant. I did enjoy the fake science descriptions on there though!
I wouldn't throw the baby out with bathwater... not that I use this particular brand but some people have found this formulation beneficial for certain situations where muscle issues are present. There's lots still emerging in research right now.

I agree though that many healthy horses can achieve muscle on a meagre diet - just look at the wild horses thriving in the deserts around the world (not that there are many of these habitats left). So 24/7 on frankly a feast of grass should have no problem.
