Just wondered if any of you have ever experienced this kind of lameness and what it turned out to be
When on the lunge . (this is what makes me confused )
Sound in walk and trot on both reins, when in canter on the right rein she defiantly doesnt swing her left leg as far forward as she should and is coming up shorter then compared to the left rein where she looks sound in canter?
BRIEF history below (20 years old and was recently eventing happily)
Horse went very lame two months ago (even in walk), no heat, swelling obvious signs.
Had vet and physio/ chiro out and was tight in her shoulder, so this was sorted.
Got much better with walking out after a rest of one week.
She is now capable of trotting happily on the road and on grassy tracks.
I have a vet that is able to xray tomorrow, but im wondering if it would be better to scan?
Would love to know your thoughts on whether it is muscular or skeletal?
I would like to explore the most suitable diagnosis route for her and dont want her being prodded about too much!
Thanks people
