Museum of the Horse petition

There was a fascinating and inspiring presentation about the need for a UK Museum of the Horse at the National Equine Forum yesterday. We are one of the very few countries in Europe – and probably the only major equestrian nation in the world – not to have one, which is a huge gap in our museum provision. I have therefore signed the petition on the web site

Sorry not sure what a petition is going to achieve

, the idea of a museum is good but surely the way forward is get support and sponsorship from equestian bussineses, clubs and private induviduals.. there is nothing to stop someone starting a museum in a room at a house for instance and as it grows move to bigger premises... if you want this to happen the first thing to do is get a group of intrested people together to find a site, collect exhibits, raise funds, set some goals, and promote the idea..

What do you expect the government (i.e. the taxpayer) to do about it?

Try the body that allocated National lottery money.
