We are about 2 yrs away from being on the hunt lol but myself and other half were just chatting earlier and reckon mini me should get hopefully another two yrs out of current pony. If all goes to plan she will be more than ready for 128's and her true love is jumping, the bigger the better lol. Would like to have an idea of cost so we can start putting a bit away every month. Thoughts?

For the top of the top....expect little change from £20,000... Possibly more (get saving)

An older pony..... I expect £10 000 would give you a fair few options! (This depends on the height your daughter actually wants to jump..... Is she wanting to be considered for teams.... If so expect to pay more.)

To be honest the type you are looking for will rarely be on the open market.... It's like good PC ponies....passed around families. I'd advise possibly looking for a loan of an older schoolmaster....still have lots to give and you may find there are quite a few out there that don't want to be sold but riders grown to big!

Re her wanting to be jumping in teams, i don't know... She's started jumping 80cms fences and has just turned 7 so team stuff will depend if she has the capability. Older pony would be what I would be looking for, wouldn't think that type comes up for loan where we are and current pony was not advertised so fully expect it to be difficult. Id thought 10 to 15k so im not that far off the mark, so time to start saving lol :)

Have a look on done deal in ireland, you'd get one easily for under 5k euro, and an older one would be much cheaper again.
