Vet was out today reviewing Tyler and his progress. He has managed to lose the silcone in both front hooves (fortunately over yesterday and this morning so he wasn't without the for long). He was 1/10ths lame (better than his previous 3-4/10ths)
Decision was made to keep him on box rest for four weeks as fields very wet and not helping the silicone stay on. He can be turned out in a dry indoor school which is fine as I am stabled just behind the indoor
Vet is going to phone my farrier and ask him about Mustad Pads (think that is how you spell it). They go in between the shoe and the hoof I think. Although she thinks the farrier may prefer to stick with silicone.
Tyler has very flat pedal dones and vet advised natural balane with silicone, but she sid she was going to discuss mustads as silicone keeps faling out.
Some sidebone there as well, but insignificant and her main concern is the pedal bone.
