GRRR my dad bought me the Musto Combination Jacket in navy from them for my xmas present...unfortunately he got a size 8 when I needed a size 10. So I phoned them asking to return and have a size 10...size 10 is out of stock but was told they will get more in and i can have it in 7-10 days.

Just phoned now making sure they got my returned coat etc....and a different woman on the line told me they wont be getting any more in but i can have refund vouchers!!! I don't want vouchers I want that coat

Just a bit annoyed that one person said they will be getting more, now someone else says that they will not be getting anymore....am I being unreasonable? I have been very polite to the staff.

Just been talking to manager and she is seeing if there are any in their stores......fingers crossed!
 
Yes, in all honesty - people make geniune mistakes, or perhaps they were just repeating what they were told by their manager or company, which has now changed?

I would perhaps (very politely) ask for a refund in cash or on the card it was bought on, if it is possible, then you could get the same coat elsewhere, if there is no way you can get the coat in the right size from them.
 
Yes I understand people make mistakes...however I have not had good service from Derby House before....although the size 8 did arrive quite quickly!

They will not give me a cash refund due to my dad buying it when it was 20% off deal...hence classing as a sale item
 
DH are well known for their lack of organisation and customer service!!!!!! Any complaint will be falling on deaf ears, which is why i don't touch them with a bargepole. This is the 2nd post complaining about them in as many days!!!!!!!!
 
Not good, im exactly the same as Charlimouse i dont go near DH anymore after problems with my last order.

Ive just bought a Musto Combi Jacket & it's absolutely lovely, i hope you get it sorted with them as it's a shame you should miss out on such a lovely jacket.

Was your jacket a Navy with Navy lining??
As this is what ive just bought & was told by the shop that they where new out with a cheaper price, i paid £129 for mine they used to RRP at £150.
If you have the same one as me there's no reason why DH shouldnt be getting more stock. However if it's the old line then maybe they are discontiuing. Just a thought hope you get it sorted though.
 
Yes it is the navy with navy lining...on website rrp £150 but dad got it for £120! It is such a lovely jacket just a shame I can't get my body protector underneath!!

I had had bad dealings with Derby House too! However my old dad bless him didn't know this at the time!
They must be the new ones....so I don't see why they would already be discontinuing it! Dad just thinks they are messing me around

You could be entitled to a refund but depends when your Dad brought it, anything online you have 14 days to change your mind, regardless. What ever T&C's they put on their website can't overrule this trading law.
 
id get the vouchers and then get the new style when it comes out in jan - I imagine it will be very similar if not better!
