dont know anything about it apart that it looks nice on as i saw a lady wearing it at a show on monday and that the link you posted seems a good price as i recieveed the ride-away catalogue yesterday in which it is priced at £249.99

I tried the navy version of this on at Gatcombe - it feels really nice and light to wear and I was very tempted to buy it as it's supposed to keep you cool in summer/warm in winter, but in the end I decided it didn't quite look smart enough for BD dressage.

ETS: I found the sizes corresponded to my normal clothes sizes, ie. I wear size 12 tops and I found the size 12 show jacket to fit fine.

Ive got tthe navy Musto jacket and it is GORGEOUS and very very smart. I wear it for everything, and it really is the best competition jacket I have worn. I was eyeing up the tweed, but cant really justify it

and i have to say its worth every penny!! Comfortable, warm and breathable. I'm usually a size 8 but had to get size 10 in the trousers...

Ohhh thankyou everyone

Kat - I really LOVE the navy jacket but I've been told I am not allowed another navy jacket ( I have 3!) and that if he is going to pay for half of it , it has to be tweed

OK this might be the reply you want to discount

No idea about the fit etc of the jacket but .... if this is to be used for showing your coloured horse it will clash.

I have a traditional/conservative view regarding turnout and my personal opinion is that pink should never be seen in a tweed jacket

sorry

Scuttles off to hide from all the pink fans

Have you had a look at Alexander James ?? They have some lovely tweeds. Personally I think a nice brown with your horse - they were a similar price I think, very good to send out swatches of their tweeds.

They have a website

Ideally I wanted a green tweed (but I bet you are going to tell me that will look awful too

) but I don't *like* tweed so its proving a difficult task

No I have a bright chestnut and wear green - I was very lucky to inherit a 40 yr old Bernard Weatheril jacket, but if i bought one now I would be looking for a nice brown one

if you went for a darker green it would be fine - quite alot these days seem to be quite bright.

Get loads of swatches before you buy and try them against your horse. Try and get a decent make - personally I think if you buy second hand top quality they look much better than new and cheap

HI Ishy, Loving the jacket, but have to agree with a coloured you have to be everso careful with your colours and clashin.

My sis got a lovely one with the same base as the one you have choosed but a navy and green check on it. Its really smart and she has a skeeby..

oooh! i want one of these!!!

not for showing, but for eventing as mine is looking a big dog earred after hunting etc.

think i will see if there are any of these on offer at hoys- don't care about the pink; i have a bay, a grey and a black horse!

Thank you for that website link - the jacket I want is on special offer so I have just made a purchase...

I don't have the particular jacket you have mentioned but it is very nice and I have quite a few Musto items and they are my favourite brand now, great quality. Sizes seem true to my 'normal' clothes
