has anyone bought or made a muzzle suitable to ride in (or in my case long rein in) A bucket grazing muzzle is not suitable, he needs something lighter and without holes to get food in. This is to stop him eating vegetation. Grass reins won't work so I am looking for ideas and any tips if someone has tried this or even ideas of what hasn't worked. It could fit onto a bridle or headcollar, I can use either.

I use a full nose net. I bought it because he has a pollen allergy and it helps more than a half net when being ridden. But it has the added bonus of stopping him from snacking!

Thanks. I looked at this one which was the only full one I could find. Is this the sort you use? is it strong when stopping snacking? I am long reining on tracks through thick bracken and gorse which is the height of the horse's face. I wondered if mesh would be strong enough.

It’s similar to that one. I can’t remember the exact make of mine but the mesh on mine is pretty tough, I don’t have gorse and bracken mind you but it has battled brambles. It isn’t the prettiest thing to look at unfortunately.4EECB824-AEB0-4C68-92D4-19D9D1DF9F46.jpeg
