muzzles made pony sore

Its the shire one that i have been using but its rubbed him and he's so sore .... anyone else had this and what have you done to prevent it from rubbing

I always use the Shires one. yes, it does rub. Dependant on where it rubs you can stick some sheepskin on the muzzle to prevent this. For thesore bits, some aloe vera gel or Sudocrem.

ive put aloe vera on the sore bits ... but the sheepskin cant be sewn (sp) in so should i super glue it ...sorry having a blonde day

The Shires ones rubbed both mine in a tiny spot under the chin. We eased off the use for a while and the patch (less than a 5p size) healed over and has never rubbed again. I think it was just 'newness' setting in, and though we have watched carefully there's no problem now..

We put sheepskin on ours, and stuck it with fabric glue - works a treat!
