We have got a muzzle 4 our dogs. The GSD is fine with it, but our JRT stands still when shes got it on and won't move. any ideas why?

We had a similar thing with our GSD, we had a Miki muzzle for her and she would just go and lie down and sulk and wouldn't move... not sure what the answer is really...
Put the muzzle on for short periods and treat ( you have to
post them!) when she's being ok with it. never use a soft muzzle on them as they
cant pant in them. Baskervilles are better.

You're right there, she poked her tongue out and sort of panted, we didn't use it much in the end.
OP - We just put it on for short periods in the house, then when we removed it gave her dried liver pieces and fussed her alot. That worked.
I agree, put the muzzle on for short periods, always under supervision, and reward with treats while the dog is wearing it. Why are you having to muzzle them, it isn't to do with your kittens is it?

we do when they go out, long story realy. And before i say any thing else it was an accident that could not be avoided.
well our neighburgh (sp) was walking hir Border Collie X and the dogs were out in the garden whilst mum was doing something in the garden. The dogs don't like Muffin (the border Collie X) and mum din't realise that he was out and the dogs saw him and got out. The JRT started a fight and Gaz (the owner of Muffin) tried 2 separate them by pulling there heads apart and ended up getting bit. So we have muzzled them when they are out to prevent it happening again.
Glad the kittens are okay. I seem to remember you having problems with your GSD escaping from the garden in an earlier post. In the long term would it not be better to fence your garden in securely then you would not be worrying all the time about the dogs escaping?
