Hi all

So I got a new ponio a couple of weeks ago & set myself the challenge of getting back into competing. I have not competed in about 10years so a little rusty & out of touch to say the least.

Please take a look at the pics & tell me what you think (please be kind :D)

click on Lazy Acres 25th July, Showjumping Pictures, page 3 pictures 83,84 & 85.

(sorry I can't seem to do a link direct)

We had 2 poles down but was still please bearing in mind he had been a complete sod to load so we had missed the 2.6ft & this was my ease me in gently class, if that went well then we would do the 2.9ft. No such luck straight into 2.9ft!!

Now aiming for a one day event in a couple of months hopefully, just got to find a local one. Cross country schooling this weekend if anyones got any tips.

Thanks for reading
:)

Anyone else? bump!!!!

Just want some advice & never cross country schooled before so really want some tips for that?

He looks great - how old is he?

Lovely pics - looks like he got a bit close to one of the jumps though. That'll come as you get used to him!

he make the 2ft9 course look very small!

Yeah I thought we had the poles down because he knocked them off by not picking his feet up, from the pictures I can now see that is was because we got a bit close, but if I let him rush into the jump & let him take off when he wants to he flattens them, if I make him wait he jumps more carefully but obviously made him wait to long. Have to work on our timing

The last time I was competing I was on a 12hh welsh section A speed machine that turned on a 6 pence.

He is 20!!:)
