My 1st lesson with Hannah in 12 months!

As Grace is out of action, I have decided to take Hannah to Jo Graham's for a lesson... she is not going anywhere near as well as she was before having Troy as she has only been back in work for four weeks now, but I am really looking forwards to seeing Jo work her magic with us.

It just feels strange when I have not had lessons on her for over 12 months

snap! I have just dragged my instructors horse out of the field to ride while Gin is out of work. He thought he was retired

Rode him today and he was such a poppet.

We've got to make the most of what we've got.

Shes loads better thanks. Shes loving all the attention shes getting and is back to her cheeky self. She had a loose school today as she wasnt happy when she saw me riding Hec.

nat1003 - Bless her. Do you know when she can be ridden again or are you having to wait and see how it all heals?

happihorse - Hannah is 11 now though, I just wish I had started dressaging with her when she was younger but I didn't know what I wanted to do with her back then and was happy just having a go at everything.
 
The stitches are due to come out next weekend but because of where the injures are I'll have to wait until they completly heal before riding her. Im more concerned about the one in her mouth, I dont want it opening up again if I put a bit in her mouth. Im hoping another 2 weeks but I'll have to wait and see.

We will eventually get out and meet you and Grace.

I'm taking her to see a specialist on Wednesday...

Due to my operation, I have not been able to ride this weekend so have got someone to ride her for me as they need her ridden until the appointment. She started off with the strange movement, but the person riding her is an Advanced dressage rider and really made her use her left side and after 20 mins of making her straighter she suddenly went right

Thank you Hornby... the suyrgeon was absolutely fantastic and talked to me throughout to make sure I was alright, and he has done a great job on the stitches. He said one was going to be an 'ugly' scar, but it is so straight and neat that I don't know how! He is one of the top vascular surgeons in the country and renowned for his neat stitches

I took the bandages off last night as had a shower and they needed redoing, and the top one looks really quite well. But the bottom one which is right at the side of my neck is very swollen and very bruised
