A couple of weeks ago my youngster came in and was limping slightly on one of his hind legs the next day was going to ring vet and just trotted him up and he was fine and totally sound then tonight brought him in like i do every night and he was limping on it again but its only every other step etc and its as if its like a foot sore lameness and he sort of flicks it from the fetlock.
Vet is coming out to my other horse tomorrow but was just wondering what you think it could be abcess or is it anything to do with his age?

Most likely a bruised sole or perhaps an abcess forming. But hard to know without looking. These can happen easily enough in unshod youngsters.

Definitely have the vet look at him today. If it is in the foot, a quick feel with the hoof testers will confirm any soreness and the vet can advise you from there. Equally, if it isn't originating from the hoof afterall, the vet will be able to advise you.
