Hiya, this is my bestest little buddy, Brindle, a whippet x patterdale terrier. She lost her leg 4yrs ago from being run over by a car. She almost didn't make it at all! She is full of life and will play all day. And a brilliant ratter! lol. She comes every where with me and I absolutely adore her. Anyone else have a 3 legged buddy?

Yehh she runs alright! Sees next doors cats and is gone!!!! She comes out on a hack sometimes, but only the 30mins one 'around the block'. As the leg does get tired quicker. She can also keep up when cantering bless.

Well it's not exactly a dog . .. . . . .

This is Maurice, one of our ex-ferals, who turned up earlier this year after a few days missing with his paw skinned and with toes missing. Best course of action was to remove his leg and he has now taken over the house, spending about one night a week outside and the rest either lying in front of the Rayburn or on our bed. At least he has only three feet to make muddy footprints on my white sheets.

I have a three legged, one eyed cat! He lost the eye after a fight and then a year later got run over (and no his name's NOT Lucky) The vet asked if I was having him dismantled a bit at a time!!! Bless his heart he couldn't clean the right side of his face for about 18 months so I used to clean his ears etc with damp cotton wool for him, until I saw him one day using the back of his opposite paw to wash himself on that side. Amazing how adaptable they are.

I have a gorgeous 3 legged tabby cat called Nesto - lost his front right leg in an RTA - he can't wash his right ear - but we also have his brother and he washes that side of Nesto's face for him. He occasionally falls off when trying to jump up onto the worktops, but apart from that he gets about really easily.
