Hi all, i would just like to take the opportunity to show off my lovely boy.
I bought him in early Oct 2010, after hacking him down the road for ten mins, i rather stupidly decided to buy him. We had three good months, then it all went wrong when he went lame on new years day 2011.
Basically vets were unsure what was wrong, as he was on and off lame throughout the year with no real symptoms. In Sept 2011, he went to Leahurst Equine hospital to have an MRI and we found out he has a cyst on the bone, sitting on his short pastern. Long story short, we cant operate on it becuase it is so close to tendons and they would have to cut through nervs to get it off. Also, he was shod really really badly, and this was making him lame. After intensive physio and a change of farrier (we know use an olimpic farrier!), Tokyo is now sound and has been for two months. I am a groom at a livery yard, and my boss who has ridden high level dressage is helping us and its paying off so well! i would post a pic for everyone to see/comment, but im not sure how! Help appriciated!
