So to start from the begining we bought our 14.3 Traditional cob piebald mare about 6 months ago and havnt looked back since ! Tessy who is 10 has been used for the past 3 years as an on and off joy ride hack when the old owner felt like riding. Befor that she has been used to pull bowtop wagons so is very muscly upfront :P. When we got Tess she didnt have a clue what your legs meant, she understood what walk meant and to get her into trot you basically had to tap her with a whip. Canter she didnt have a bloody clue about she would just throw herself into some mad trot untill she had to break into canter bless :)

She was also covered in mites and scabs within her feathers and we also found cracked heels on all legs:( so we shaved her legs and pig oiled them up they are nearly perfect now! she was a little begger to catch due to trust issues and also headshy with hands so at some point is is believed she has had an might clout round the face !

Well 6 months on and today i took her onto the stubble field and had this horse cantering like a dream straight off my legs like a rocking horse and balanced. She was doing half pass and leg yielding whilst carrying her head and tail like an arab :P I can honestly say this mare has been wasted she is going to make a fantastic dressage horse nex year cant wait to see all the snobs face when we turn up on our hunky chunky cob ;) Anyhow she now comes to her name and enjoys us giving her hugs even her face !

Today just made me stop and think you are truly amazing Tess and i am lucky to have found you! she is the type of horse you can stick your gran on and feel safe but will go for a gallop with you like a race horse at times !

I do love my spotty moo cow :)
