My biggest hunting worry..

...is that if I take him hunting, he will be totally wound up for days, and will think he is going hunting every time we go in the lorry.

Am I being stupid?

Very much depends on your individual horse. Is he generally quite sparky?

I must admit mine is pretty keen to load as he has learnt that the box means he is going to a party! In previous seasons he has been quite wound up when we got home but this season he is very calm, just pleased with himself! I found it helpful to chuck him out for half an hour to let him chill out.

One of mine thinks/hopes he is going hunting every time he travels. But when he gets out the other side he often breathes a big sigh of disappointment and turns back into Dope on a Rope ;)
