It dislikes £3000 + worth of saddle! Isn't that a relief (or a weight) in my pocket!
just started working for a show jumper (thanks to those who said go for it, I will be learning a lot) and her saddles are killing my arse!!! They are like hard planks of concrete with sharp edges! It even hurts still on the toilet!

Do you think my obviously bony bum will become accustomed to these saddles? Or am I to suffer sitting down problems for the next few months? I've only ridden in/on dressage saddles for the past 3 years and before that had a very squishy Albion show jump saddle that I rode in once a week.

p.s. The show jumper knows these problems, and found them very funny!

I rode in saddles the same price all one summer, I was near numb by the first week! Got used to it though, I think you get so used to one saddle the rest feel horrible. I thought my £80 saddle was the comfiest thing on earth whereas my friend thought it was like sitting on a plank of wood:)

I have been riding in a lovely comfortable saddle for the past year - now the baby has been backed am stuck with an older leather one which feels like am sitting on bricks :( i have a nice sheepskin liner to go on it though :)

What saddles are they?
Killed me the 1st few times I rode in the devoucouxs at the event yard but I tell you what doing fast work on the gallops they were a god send !

I used to have a Heather Moffat seat saver on a saddle which was the only one I ever found to fit my old horse properly, but which was like sitting on the top of a brick wall. It was great and really helped.

Butet samur (most uncomfortable) and a stubben...... I think it's cos of their horizontal seats!
I have a prolite seat saver.....but I don't know if id be allowed to use it seeing they aren't my saddles!
