Poor Toto
He was fine at the walk today so suspected nothing wrong, tacked up and soon as went into trot he felt a bit weird, did a lap, then changed the rein and was still the same, so wondered if he'd maybe picked up a stone in the arena. Jumped off and had a look, he was fine. So, popped him on the lunge to have a look at his trot, he didn't look right, changed the rein the have a look at the other side and he was lame
Took him in and trotted him up, and confirmed he was lame in his offhind
His hindquarter was dipping slightly, and the pastern area was slighty squishier than the other, though not really swollen. We cold hosed it and are going to see how he is tomorrow, if no better than it's a vet visit for Toto
I think he probably twisted it a bit yesterday as he had a few mad moments on the lunge, and then when I let him off the lunge. Vibes for Toto please
