I know he lacks muscle and is still immature looking but I do love how this boy is coming on.
Trainer is thrilled with him and says he is incredibly level headed and sensible. He's been hacked out now and his only wobble was due to a tractor, even then it wasn't serious ???

Of course I can't leave out The Rockstar who came to mow my lawn the other day...and fell head over heels in love with the fabulous horse he could see in the window ??? Just about sums him up, he is an absolute poser lol.

Thanks guys.
Rex is approx 16.1. Sire is a 15.1 pure Connemara and dam is a 15.3 Clydesdale x Cob with a dash of ID...His Grandma on his Mums side was 16.2 so I'm guessing that's where his height is coming from. He's 5 at the end of the month so I don't think he's going to get any taller, but he obviously has alot of filling out and muscle development to go yet. I'd have liked another inch or two taller as I'm 5ft 11 bit at think once mature he will take up my leg well???

Rocket is gypsy cob, 10 this year...supposed to be 15.2 but Im not convinced he's quite that big. Problem is that most horses under about 17.2 look short to me ????

I wouldn’t count out another couples of inches, SLH! Not with cob, Clydesdale, and ID in the mix!

That would be awesome lol.
He looks weird at the moment, probably because he's straight through the hock, though I'm told that's a Connemara trait..?? ?‍♀️?‍♀️ He has such a pony head on that big body too bless him ??

Could be worse - my unknown breeding coblet has a mahoosive Shire-style head on a 15.1-2hh body. X-Full in everything! And he grew another 3 inches between 5 & 8 years.

Yours look absolutely lovely, particularly the young 'un. I bet he does get a bit bigger too. HHO sweepstake?

I don't think he's horrendously straight, but he does have a very sharp sloping croup. This is a really common trait passed on from Clydesdales and similar. Lots and lots of cob types have it. It will improve visually as he muscles up with work.
