my cavello boots have arrived and they look huge!

as title! my boots arived today and i had a look and they look enormous! they are the cavello simple boots size four which is 5 1/4 to 51/2. his feet measured 51/4 by 51/4 measured by farrier. they look huge! maybe it is just decieving but he has his shoes off 2moro so i will get the farrier the check they fit! he is a 15.3 tb so does size 4 sound about right? or is it just decieving looking at them.

I don't intentionally mean to be dim, but are you talking about Cavallo boots as in long boots? lol

She's talking about hoof boots. They can look a bit big before they are on the horse.

A good way to reassure yourself, before you get them anywhere near your horse is to put their hoof on a piece of paper and draw round the edge of the hoof. Cut it out and slide it into the boot and you will have a good idea of fit without the faff of a moving horse on the end of the hoof!

i tried them on today and he has a good 1/4-1/2 and inch going right the way round and the pastern is huge. will get my YO to have a look 2moro but farrier had a look at the boot today and thinks they look more like 5 3/4. he had his shoes off today and had a trim, i feel like an awfull mummy. he is so sore hopefully not for much longer.

I'd be surprised if a 15.2 TB needed a 4

im going to try and swap them for the size 3's, hes only got little feet bless him.
