Had the dogs out as normal this morning, no one about and as the two labs worked so well yesterday I just let them off the leads for a good run and play (of course Beastie dog was out playing too

Cindy is a very, very active dog and has to do everything at break neck speed. We had walked on a bit as she was snuffling and it's down some steps which have banks down the sides of them. So instead of going down the steps Cindy launched herself off the top of the bank. Next thing she is skidding along on her chest and chin, all four legs underneath her

She must have misjudged and her front paws haven't taken her weight properly.

Her chin is all grazed, she has grazed part of the front of her right leg and then a cut on her left leg which started to bleed. Thankfully not too badly. Her back legs and tummy has no marks. But when she got up to come to me she isn't sound, not badly but you can see she's not right.

Got her home and cleaned the cuts and grazes, and walked her and trotted her up and down to see how she is moving. She is weight bearing, but seems to have hurt her back legs more.

Not striding out as much. Can't quite word it. So going to see how she is tomorrow and if she isn't right, down to the vets but hoping it's just knock.

Poor girl. Buffy did a similar thing off the sand dunes last week but escaped unhurt. I would think Cindy is probably stiff and bruised. She may well be worse tomorrow if its bruising, but fingers crosses she soon feels better. Do you have any arnica tablets, I really think they work in cases like this.

Poor Cindy, hope she feels better soon & not to battered & bruised.

Quail did it a few months back but ran of a bank which had a 5' drop onto rough tarmac landed exactly the same on chin & front legs folded under her. There's was me thinking thats your jaw broken, as she was still when she got up & tried to yawn her jaw out. She cut her knee joint aswell. Was lame for a day but was soon belting round again!

Hope that is all Cindy has done. Healing vibes for her.

Any update on Cindy pup?

Aside from losing an eye

Stella once went for the ball at the same time as a Retriever, and somehow slid along the dog's back, performed a double somersault, and came crashing to the floor. She was mighty stiff the next day--neck was obviously sore--but she slept it off and was good as new 48 hours later.
