Hello everyone.
My lovely little mare had colic surgery 6 weeks ago - left dorsal displacement. After one of two glitches she now seems to be recovering well but I am a nervous wreck.
The latest worry is her belly. Since she came out of hospital it has grown and grown
It looks like she could burst. The belly was heading in this direction just prior to the colic so obviously I'm concerned. She gets chaff sugar beet and home grown low ish quality haylage walked in hand for 20 mins grass 2x daily.
Any ideas to cause of belly and any ideas what to do. She is 12 and I believe she's had s couple of foals x
