My colt's great escape....and NO he should not be free!!!

Well yesterday mu 2 yr old colt Tam gave me a heart attack. He has just come off 10 months of being stuck in and done his rehab work and is now allowed out....so we built him a HUGE pen with 3 strands of electric 40mm tape at 7 ft tall.....nothing for houdini!!! First you remove the wire from unit to stop it shocking you...then you take fencing unit apart (bearing in mind unit is OUTSIDE his field)...and I do mean he laid out circuit board and all! THEN he chewed threw and removed the bottom strand of the 40mm tape woohoo he was free! On a good note at least I was not there to see the hooley he no doubt had with Storm...minus bandages!!! And luckily Storm is the most chilled horse in the world who has known him since birth...actually watched his birth!

Good note he is as chilled as chilled can be and is not top dog....Storm is...which is super as Storm is teaching him horse manners!!! He is sound as a bell and only has one superficial scratch on thee inside of a front leg above the knee....so here is chilled Tam!

Me thinks he may have had a bit of help from his mate Storm? LOL

So pleased he's ok though, and he does look very chilled out indeed - and totally gorgeous too!
 
I am DEFINITELY thinking Storm had something to do with it as he did not look totally innocent!!!! Tam has though been making full use of his field shelter and sleeping flat out in it out of the sun!
 
Tee Hee I couldn't help laughing at Tam's antics-when they want to 'break free' gates, electric fences and the like are but a minor impediment!!
He looks very pleased with himself and chilled out-butter wouldn't melt eh?
Na now he joins the ranks of Einstein like ingenious equine Houdini's!!
