I love my cow!!
She is so awesome and so easy compared to Belle!! I have come to the decision to advertise her though so the other day I thought I would give her a jump over something a bit bigger to try and get a good picture for her advert. My goodness she can ping!!! She is so cool and easy and she makes such a lovely shape.
I did have a big worry that selling the easy fun one that could go and jump some 80s in a few weeks and keeping the sharp one who I often ride whilst holding my breath and my neck strap was potentially not my smartest move! I'm just riding too many at the moment, I'm riding 6 some days, 4 most days and working. Its exhausting and so I have to be sensible and at least try to advertise my cow.
Look at her go though!! In the end it was 1m15 and she made it feel easy peasy!
She needs elbow guards!
I have 2 friends coming to see her and if she isn't for them I will advertise her properly
Today Belle went on her first outing, for a dressage lesson. She is rather hot to ride at home so I was slightly dubious and expected lots of neck strap holding. I shouldn't of worried though as she was a total star. She wasn't spooky or green about going into the outdoor school to warm up, she checked herself out in the mirrors and then warmed up like a pro. I was especially proud of her as shes never worked around jumps like that, never seen mirrors etc and she was brilliant!
She was too busy looking to be bothered about the water tray!
She loves posing, shame I cant manage!!
So we went in and talked about how she should be going. My aim has been for her to be infront of the vertical and not too fast. She loves powering round with her head tucked slightly behind the contact and the aim is to take her out of her comfort zone. Today we played around with small changes of speed within the trot, asking her to come back for a few seconds to sit and then push her slightly on again. I was really proud of her as she has never been in an indoor and its a big posh one with lots of stuff going on and Belle took it all in her stride.
Turning into a tired baby pony now!
Really proud of her. I know shes only done a few weeks work since I backed her but she is hot to ride at home. I think that is because she feels safe enough to lark about there, its nice to know that she is pretty sensible to take out though. Fingers and toes crossed that she stays that way for a while longer!!! Hopefully a few more clinics and outings at other places and then we might brave some dressage!!
The spotted one is in the bad books for much boxrest tomfoolerly! We aren't friends!!!! Belles mini me (Willow) is growing like anything. She is already much taller than dot and shes only just 2.
So that's mine. Thanks for reading x
