Well, Mum has only been back from holiday for a few days and to be honest I have been pretty mean to her
. The problem was I was really enjoying my little holiday and although I was pleased to see Mum back with the carrots she seemed to be on a mission to make me work hard
. But I went too far on Weds, I messed about and then did a big side step in canter and she fell off and it seems I made her cry
ooops, it was definitely a step too far as I didnt get my apple treat!
So along came today and it was obvious Mum was taking me somewhere as she had put those poncy braids in my mane and tail, but I decided it was about time I reverted to good old George
. I went on the wheely stable like a bullet out of a gun and really behaved myself whilst I was there, especially as I had a huge haynet.
We arrived at the party and there were lots of horses there, including some fit mares that I winked at, what a treat
. Mum got me ready and she was very calm, hmmm she seems to be getting good at this! I went in the work area with the other horses and I was very good and well behaved.
We then went into the big arena where we are supposed to behave, I was a bit disappointed because Ive been here a few times jumping, but there werent any jumps
. But boy were there some scarey things, flowers in pots that I think were horse eating varieties
, and then 2 people sat at a table what reason could they be there for other than to scare me? So as we walked round I dug my heels in as I was far to scared to go past, but Mummy wasnt having it and we went past and the people smiled
.
We did our bit, Mum got me confused with the right canter, I didnt know if she meant left or right so got in a muddle, but when we finished she hugged me (nice, but dont tell my mates!). I heard her say shed come 5th and she seemed really pleased!
Then shock horror we had to do another one, Mum confused me again with one of the canters and I think I did the wrong thing, think we will both need to practice at home. At the end I got lots more pats, she got a sheet afterwards (but not another girly ribbon thing thank goodness) and I heard her read out powerful horse with lots of ability oh yeah man thats me
! Then she said oh wow weve qualified for the Trailblazers 2nd round hmmm not sure I like the sound of that, sounds like hard work
!
We then went home after a lovely hose down, and Mum put me in the field and kept hugging and kissing me oh boy I wish she wouldnt do that in front of my mates
, worse I hope they dont realise I like it. Then my day was complete when I got some carrots
.
Very pooped now and need to have a sleep!
