I knew that something was up when Mummy bathed me last night and then put me to bed rather than letting me back out again. Thankfully she only washed the white bits so it didn't take too long.

I was pleased to see her this morning, hoping we might be off for a hack around Foremark with my best friend Belle but then she started advancing on me with a syringe that looked suspiciously like wormer. It didn't taste like wormer, I think it was pretending to be apple flavoured but i spat it all over the stable floor to be on the safe side.

After an hour Mummy and Auntie Jo came holding my travel boots. I actually really like going places but I don't think the travel boots are my colour so I kicked Auntie Jo's hand to make my point clear.

I was glad to see that Mummy had packed me a nice haynet for when we got to the show ground and it wasn't long before I was warming up. I thibnk I did a fab test, the judge shouldn't have parked their car at C, that was a little off putting but i even heard Mummy say "I don't care where we're placed, that was the best test we've ever done"

I assumed we were going back in the van, thats what usually happens but Mummy took me back into the warm up and put me over a jump. I was a little surprised but decided to play along. I couldn't believe it when Mummy took me into the ring where the other horses had been and let me go around the jumps, she never normally lets me. I decided to show how excited I was by jumping about 4ft in the air from a standing start over fence 2 but I think Mummy got the message and I was a very sensible girl after that.

I thought it was all over but the nice man at the gate said we had to go round again and this time I went really fast

Mummy won some things that I tried to eat but sadly they weren't edible. She got all emotional and put the red one on my bridle but I decided not to pose and tried to eat Auntie Jo's camera instead.

Mummy even let me eat some grass when we got home, she must be going soft in the head.

I recommend you hang those flower things you won on the outside of your stable - that way every time you mum sees them she will remember how fab you were - even if you have just been naughty.....

Don't worry Inca, I didn't bend either. I'm trying to persuade Mummy to stick to the SJ and leave out the dressage altogether.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit i did several happy dances at the show ground, you'd have thought we'd won Badminton
