My dog had to go to the doggy hospital

He's home now but feeling a very sore

We were walking along a footpath that runs next to someones house. They were working at the front of their house and had the dog out with them. It went for me but my dog jumped in to defend me (he was on the lead btw).

I was so angry with the owners - they have beware of the dog signs everywhere and they've had legal action taken against them before because their dog almost killed another one

They just stood there so I grabbed it (it was a JRT) and literally threw it at them because it was trying to bite me

When it landed they started to have a go at me but I was off taking my dog back to the car because he was bleeding

When we got to the clinic they told me to report it to the police which I did so it remains to be seen what happens.

I can't beleive people can be so stupid as to have a dangerous dog loose in a cul-de-sac next to a footpath!! Sorry for ranting but I'm so angry still tho feeling a bit better with my dog using my feet for a pillow

DO NOT hesitate to report it...the police will have to pay a visit and have a word and log what happened...if it happens again or a child is bitten and the police take no notice they could be in bother.....I too would have flung it back at them

I did report it - I rang them from the vet clinic. They took loads of details so hopefully something will be done even if it's only a warning. We know the people who live nextdoor to them so we can find out through them
