:( My dog has Mange

Hi,
As post suggests..worse fears confirmed by Mrs Vet...prescribed Stronghold 120mg every 28 days for 3 months..
He had a cut on his eyebrow...which has healed but has now the 'Mange Ring' around it.
Is there anything else I might do to help him?
He is a working sheepdog and fox hater, and whilst he is itchy...not around his eye...more on his body...it is not mega itchy....but would welcome any suggestions.

i would give him a bath in seleen, then apply a stronghold dose. the stronghold should kick in within 24 to 48 hrs so he should stop itching. i would also change his bed for a clean one.

Whilst waiting for a reply...I sponge bathed him in Naff Tea Tree shampoo, then did the Stronghold...but shall get some Seleen tomorrow...thank you also for giving me a suggested time frame for his itching to stop.

Neem Oil!

It will not only alleviate the itching it will get rid of the mange.

You can buy human seleen type shampoo which is much cheaper then the stuff from the vets, but I don't know if the strength is different.
