Hi, not been on 'all about dogs' for a while so apologies

but just wondered if anyone could tell me why my 20mth old male dog would decide to wee in the house. He has always been fantastic and lets us know when he wants a wee and was so easy to house train. He doesnt seem dominant in any way, doesnt hump things so Im hoping it isnt a 'male dominance' thing as he hasnt been castrated. He wee'd up a charity bag of clothes that been on our landing for a few days. Im wondering if he was just being lazy.
Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like a scent wee rather ran a im desperate for a wee, if he has hit sexual maturity he may well begin to scent objects randomly, unless he is neutered the ignore me

Mayeb he thought of adding his own donation to the charity gear

He really is a quiet sensative boy, so weve not felt the need for him to have it done. Hes been sulking in his bed ever since he did it as for the first time in his life he got told off and I just want to go and give him a big cuddle

Hes been fine with the fireworks and weve not had many tonight so I dont think its that but thanks for the reply.

My recently deceased dog would do things like this occasionally. Rarely in our part of the house, but he would if he got up to the in-laws bit (house is divided in two).

He was entire. I have already said that our new puppy will be castrated when the time comes. Jasper used to do tiny wees constantly when taking him for a walk. I'm hoping castrating the new puppy will put an end to the "I need to wee every two metres" when out on a walk.

Otto started doing this before he was castrated. He would break into the spare room and pee on the quilt if we had, had someone staying with us, and would always pee on the landing of my Parent's house. It has stopped since he was castrated, however I think it would have stopped anyway TBH.

My Parent's dogs are all entire and they never do it, unless the remains of Otto's wee weren't cleared up sucessfully, then it was definately marking their territory!
