No i dont think they'd get annoying. I dont think you'd barely notice them TBH.

ive seen these whilst in spain, and they are lovely ..............
but you need skinny legs !! double check the measurements :}
i couldnt get them anywere close to doing up :{

wildwest, I have skinny legs like drainpipes, really annoying as cant find boots to do up without big gaping holes at the top

I have these and they are great - mine put up with a lot of abuse and are never polished or looked after. I did take the tassles off though as I'm sure they annoyed my horses when riding. What i will say though is if you are looking to replace your Dubarrys these are not the same type of boot at all. Dubarrys are a warm, lined country boot and these aren't lined so are cold to wear in winter and are more of a riding boot. They are waterproof as in they will stand some rain but you can't stand in a river with them and keep dry feet - especially as they have a zip!

My Dubarrys were amazing but got trashed - I have to wear them for work things too and I was forever being embarrased by the smell of horse wee which could only have been coming from me!!

They did me for work (very warm and smart) the yard (waterpoof and practical) and I used to ride in them (hacking)

HOWEVER I now need to get a boot for riding, a smart boot for work, and a welly - have decided on muck boot co wellies or le chemaux neoprene ones (depending on what I can get in the tack shop at the weekend) and think these will do me for work - will be smart and practical enough for race days/country fairs etc...and then my lovely boyfriend is getting me a pair of Ariat brown long boots for riding and schooling

Grrrrrr have just looked at these in Eventing mag, really like them, but looks as if I am going to be disapointed, I hate my large legs...

Moloh do a version of these boots and although I have quite wide calves theirs fitted me fine

R2R as sfoers said, they are NOT waterproof! I have always had a pair of these on the go, a company in Spain called ValVerde make them, and I don't pay anywhere near as much for them over there, my last pair were €80! They aren't the best to ride in TBH but are great for wearing on a dry yard and for going out and about.

My Dubarrys died a death too after 4 years of hard wearing, and my husband bought me a pair of these for Christmas and I really love them - Toggi Canyon
