In preparation for doing some in-hand showing in the Spring, I thought it was time to introduce Sabre to the delights of loading! I took all necessary precautions in case he decided he didn't want to play ball, but I needn't have worried. He was awesome.

Led him up to it to sniff it, and he immediately offered to get on! I was like :O He put his front feet straight on the ramp, so I made a big fuss and gave him some treats. He is really greedy and you could almost see him think 'If this is all I need to do for treats, I'm on!' and he just walked straight on! :)

Took him off immediately, then put his mate on first, put him on again and shut him in for 2 minutes. Took him off and made a huge fuss of him, and he was completely unbothered!

Well chuffed with my lad :) Might not be a big deal for some, but this is my first time bringing on a youngster and every small step is a huge thing! :)

I used to take mine on drives to the garage to fill up with fuel.
It's a milestone when they start travelling.

Thanks :D I think he is rather awesome. He is so sweet, and quiet and easy, and loving. So far, a good buy! Not a bad bone in his body. Can't wait to get on him and see what he turns into! :D

What a good lad. Makes it all worthwhile doesnt ?!

This is why I have really enjoyed having youngsters around, just doing the basics with them is so rewarding.

Hes a lovely looking boy, whats his breeding ?

Lovely kind eyes too:D

Thank you :)
He is out of a stallion called Oliver HFD who is out of Voltaire. His mum was a very sane Advanced Medium KWPN mare. Hoping to use him for dressage mainly, but a bit of everything if he's up for it! He is so bold, but not silly with it, just can't wait to see how he matures,
:D

Very exciting:D

My 2 yo KWPN, shes by a jumping stallion too, but boy does she move. I can really see her doing dressage. Think she might be a little quirky though, so could be interesting.

Will hopefully get her out and about too this year

Good luck with him
