In preparation for doing some in-hand showing in the Spring, I thought it was time to introduce Sabre to the delights of loading! I took all necessary precautions in case he decided he didn't want to play ball, but I needn't have worried. He was awesome.
Led him up to it to sniff it, and he immediately offered to get on! I was like :O He put his front feet straight on the ramp, so I made a big fuss and gave him some treats. He is really greedy and you could almost see him think 'If this is all I need to do for treats, I'm on!' and he just walked straight on!
Took him off immediately, then put his mate on first, put him on again and shut him in for 2 minutes. Took him off and made a huge fuss of him, and he was completely unbothered!
Well chuffed with my lad
Might not be a big deal for some, but this is my first time bringing on a youngster and every small step is a huge thing!
