I would just like to post the fact that my farrier is an awesome bloke. My horse threw a shoe at 7.30 last night and by 7am this morning it was back on, all feet tided and away to Ponies UK he went. So there are some brill ones out there!!
He also told me about a woman who horse he shod, phoned him and said it has lost a shoe. He said "oh, it's been so long since you phoned I thought you'd used someone else", she said nope. So he checked his diary to see how long it had been - 14mths!! That is an outstanding achievement, but he did state they were like coke cans they were so thin!! He has now advised the woman how often it needs doing - he doesn't think the horse will be much longer now she's found out the costs!!
I think he deserves a round of applause!!
