Hi,everyone i've just purchased my 1st welsh(sec c) she's a yearling filly and absolutely gorgeous think i was besoted and i didn't realise her sire is the same as her dam's does this affect things in any way she's already done well previously in the show's she's been to before i owned her, her dam's Blaengwen Deeta and her sires Synod Master Man previous lines include menai, derwen, fronarth to name a few also what height should i expect her to make think she may go over she's around 13h/13.1hh now at 15mth old i'd send a pic but don't know how but if you google blaengwen delta that's my filly oh and i've added an album thank's

A lot of welsh ponies and cobs are what is called 'line-bred'. Most of us would call this 'in-breeding' and avoid it. But with luck your filly will be perfectly healthy. Sorry no idea how much she will grow.

I don't think it matters if she grows too big to be a C, she just gets reclassified as a D (if you want to bother with it).

If she has 4 legs and 1 head at this stage with no obvious faults the breeding probably won't be an issue.

No she's fine 4 legs and a head haha x and she was Winner of best section C or D foal class and Champion foal on Sunday of Hay-On-Wye sale, top price section C of the Sale which is where she came from originally so can't be that bad and doesn't really matter if she goes over i may get 14h/14.2 then possibly x
