well i went!! Ended up being a wimp and coming home early since Jenny was messing about (the kind of messing about most people would prob shrug off but im a nervous rider at the best of times and she NEVER misbehaves so was well out of my comfort zone)

Hover the time i did spend out i thoroughly enjoyed, everyone was super friendly and we enjoyed a couple of good fast canters. My advice to other first timers, make soure you have a nip of something to deal with any nerves!! and have a very fit horse. I only stayed out about and hour and a half and we had a lot of standing about but Jen was knackered and i thought she was pretty fit

Many thanks to the Kimblewick fo letting me go along, being so welcoming and not making me feel like a compleat nit when i decided to go home

Brilliant am so glad that you enjoyed it, once I saw you at the start I never saw you again die to standing in diff places. Don't worry as long you enjoyed it doesn't matter if you had only stayed out 5 mins, I never jumped in the end today as was a different horse from normal, who's a lot bigger than I'm used to! Hope to see you out again soon :)

Pisshead! :p

:D if (when?!?) i go again i am making my OH drive so i can get merry enough to not worry when my horse decided to launch herself in the air and then spin round!!

Was nice to meet you beckey i deff enjoyed the few runs i managed. i think the main prob was the waiting round on top of it being new and exciting and she just lost it a bit. Would prob be easyer now i know what to expect from her, her usual idea of misbehaving is to stand still so it was rather unxpected to say the least!

just out of interest what are the chances of me finding someone else (someone brave!) to take her out for the day and see what she would do? I dont think she'd do anything terrible but i'd feel a lot more confident if i ha a better idea of what to expect from her

Yep just keep her moving if you can next time, 29th is another nice one not to far away if you are around and plenty off non jumping options :)

what JBJ says ^^ keep her busy and she'll be calmer!

Glad you went and did enjoy it, even if you were out of your comfort zone! You'll probably find that with time it, and as she settles you'll have more confidence and enjoy it even more!
