i have never posted a report before but i thought i would do my first one....be aware you will probs be bored to death!!! but tell me and then i will try and modify it for future!
today i finally got my chance to do my first BD after not being able to do the two i had entered previously.
i had no idea what to expect but anyway i went along and one of my friends was there which was nice and i didnt know she was going so a nice surprise!
my horse warmed up really nicely...a lot better than usual anyway.

so i went and did my first test indoors which was prelim 7. he spooked at the banners and mirrors and cafe first time round but then i managed to get his concentration. we did wat i felt was an alright/good test the thing that ruined it was the walk as it was a bit laboured and he was a bit tense. but anyways i found out i got 67.5% so i was really pleased with that. i came 2nd in the open section and 3rd overall so i was really pleased.

when i got my sheet i saw that it was the walk where i lost the most marks and sadly there is quite a lot of walk in this test!
In my second test which was prelim 12 was outside and it was very windy and the hedge was very scary this time but thankfully i got his concentration again! i think this test went better although he wasnt off my leg as much and had lost a bit of spring! but i got 67.6% so again i was thrilled and i won the open section!!!

and came 3rd overall and it was a bigger class. i was absolutely delighted with my horse!
sadly no photos as my mother is scarred of the camera!!! which is very very annoying.

thank you also to everyone on here who gave me advice about enterring and my bridle number!!! haha

those are really good scores! hope we will see lots more comp reports!

Brilliant scores -well done!!

You will have to train your mother better. Can she use a camcorder, as it is possible on most now to get stills off the video. Failing that - send her to a night class in photography(ha ha)!

Well done ,why were you in the open? Was it because you are not registered, you are doing well enough to reg.and then you would qualify for regionals or area festival.
Well done ,looking forward to next report

thanx for your nice comments everyone.

fiona- i am now in the process of persuading my mother to buy a very easy to use video camera...she still seems unsure but seems like she mite come round as she understands how useful it would be.

the_carthorse - i was doing open as i wasnt a member just to see how it went.

i was really pleased as everyone said...oh your scores wil go down by 5-10% when you go affiliated and they seem to be in about the same region ( well today anyway!)
